Glaciers form when the rate of snow fall exceeds the rate of melting.
Volcanoes have been around since the formation of earth they are vents to relieve pressure from the earth's core.
Continental glaciers form in large flat areas. They spread across entire continents and make flattened landscapes. :)
The scarping and gouging action of the ice created depressions in the bedrock. These depressions filled with water to form the hundreds of thousands of lakes that now dot the shield.
Land bridges aren't actually formed, they are already there but covered by the sea. When a glacial period starts, the water evaporated from the oceans falls as snow on the land and then compacts as ice which does not melt. Continual removal of water from the oceans over thousands of years causes sea level to drop and exposes the "land bridges".
Glaciers
Icebergs are blocks of fresh-water ice that break off from glaciers and float out to sea. They are made from snow that has fallen hundreds or even thousands of years.
Large crevasses, river/streams
Glaciers have helped form Long Island in the sense that millions of years ago, the glaciers eroded the block of land that is now known as Long Island.
Valley glaciers form on high mountain valleys and are long and narrow. Continental glaciers covers much of a continent or large island.
Glaciers can form U shaped valleys.
yes, but it takes over a hundred years for glaciers to form (its a very slow process)
Typically thousands to hundreds of thousands of years.

thousands and thousands, there fossil fuels
