They started out as a band called Xero, when they couldnt get a record deal, the lead singer left, and they recruited Chester Bennington. They renamed themselves to Hybrid Theory, and began performing. Due to legal reasons, their name had to be changed, so the changed their name to Linkin Park. Not Linkin Park, they are Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda and Rob Bourdon who started a rock band called XERO and then with rest members to hybrid theory but due to some problem they changed their name permanently to Linkin Park.
