Germany
ok I'm a real big time wwii fan and fanatic ok I'll see if i can tell u why d-day was important day in the war. ok now Europe was occupied by nazi and Britain was the last place in Europe to be taken over. the japs attacked pearl harbor and when they dii Germany made the biggest mistake in the war declared war on the us. ok we accepted and joined Britain and russia. we began to form up operation overloard or d-day to get a front and to get the Nazis out of occupied France. we did this by dropping hundrends maybe thousands but I'm pretty sure just hundreds of us paratroopers which would meet the troops on the beach by being droped into fance the night before and clearing artillary and cities to be occupied by allied forces to make the downfall of nazi Germany. i hope i cleared this up for u. Also D-Day was the Day that Germany invaded France. This invasion caused a second major battle on Germany and helped speed up Germanys defeat. It also helped convince Russia to continue to help the united states defeat Germany
yes they did
"Clickers" also called "Crickets" were used by Allied paratroopers to distinguish between friend and foe during the initial Airborne assault during the Invasion of Normandy. Clicking your cricket and receiving a returned click would signal friendly troops. Trouble was the sound made by a clicker was similar to that made by a bolt action rifle being cocked. I think that only US paras used them bu I could be wrong! CRICKETS (CLICKERS) WERE ONLY GIVEN TO PARATROOPERS OF THE 101st AIRBORNE DIVISION... THE SEQUENCE OF THE CLICKERS THAT WAS USED TO HELP PARATROOPERS DETERMINE IF THEY WERE AMONG FRIEND OR FOE IN THE DARKNESS, WAS 1 CLICK, IF YOU RECEIEVED 2 CLICKS IN RETURN, YOU WERE AMONG A FRIEND...
I think it actually was the cause of a major loss to Germany, though it was signed to help Germany and other countries.

The job of paratroopers were to get to the battle quickly and/or strike behind the enemy's lines in order to disrupt his forces or capture strategic points, such as bridges, that would help the infantry break through the enemy defenses.
The planners wanted to disrupt the German defenses by dropping paratroopers behind the lines and capturing bridges and road intersections. They had selected several targets that were important and would help the infantry landing on the beaches to advance in-land. Also, the planners expected a 75% casualty rate among the paratroopers so they wanted to drop enough to get the job done.
Germany implemented policies to help stop high inflation.
