Slaves were only in the south. None in the north.
The north and the south fought because of slavery and because the south wanted to become a different country.

The people from the South will have a slightly different accent. Y'all ;-)
From the different Koreans that I know personally, people from the North can be a little taller, whereas people in the south may be shorter and have a smaller body mass. The height difference, if it actually exists, would probably have to do with the mixing of different civilizations throughout history. This mixing is more possible in the North since the North is connected to China, which is connected to a vast mix of other asian countries. On the other hand, the South is at the tip of the Korean peninsula and is rather isolated. Of course, it may just be random genetics. This is all just from personal experience and thought.
