Bombs don't start wars, people do.
People who got less than £5 per week got one for free and the government built it for them. People who got over or £5 per week had to buy one from the government for £7. They were made out of concrete, corogated metal, sand bags and soil. they were ussaly under ground.
Bombers?
there would be about 4 people that could fit in a Morrison shelter, depending with your size.
bombs that when touch the clouds grow wings and go rainbow then they rain stars that fall down and burn people to death
to shelter people and soldiers from bomb attacks
To let people know that an air raid was coming so they could seek shelter before enemy bombers dropped bombs on them. Without the sirens, the bombs would have been falling before they would have time to get to a shelter.
yes, if their shelter was aready damaged or it was not very protective and it is so weak at that time
Most of the bombs (and the V-1 and V-2 missiles) exploded above ground in London, which is why people took shelter in the subways and in basements. Unfortunately, some bombs were made heavy enough to penetrate the ground before exploding. Other bombs destroyed buildings which then collapsed into the subterranean shelters.
No. A bomb shelter is for overhead bombs dropped from planes, etc. A fallout shelter is referencing a nuclear fallout, which would mean it would be safe from radiation.
If the war is about to begin you will run 2 the air raid shelter and u will be protected by the bombers .
From bombs it would be best in a bomb shelter Morris i think sorry xx
An anderson shelter was a small metal structure(usually made of corrugated metal) that was designed to protect people from bombs in world war two. They were not effective against direct bomb hits.
When the Air Raid sirens stop and the bombs stop falling it is safe to leave.
no it is not people it is a shelter
Bombs don't start wars, people do.
The British built them during the Blitz to protect themselves against the bombs.
