As a little boy in Birmingham during WW2 the school I attended adjoined a farm. When the time came to harvest a crop, beans, peas, apples, or dig up potatoes, we would all be roped in, except the little ones, girls too, no special favours. Scrap metal drives saw us scratching around in bushes and wading through lakes, ponds, and dams searching for any types of metal with our bare feet, often cut to ribbons. This valuable prize was to be made into the 'Spitfires' that defended us. You can imagine we would be glad to have our feet completely severed just to get another 'Spitfire in the air.
Schools didnt close
Yes, schools were still open during the war.
Yes, many schools around the world were still in operation during World War II.

WW1 did not contribute to WW2
== ==
Yup
Psychologists played a significant role in World War II by developing and implementing methods to assess soldiers for military service, providing therapy for soldiers suffering from combat stress, developing propaganda techniques, and conducting research on various aspects of human behavior relevant to military operations. Their contributions helped support the war effort and improve the well-being of soldiers.
dn !
Antisemitism did not contribute to outbreak of World War 2. Hitler invaded Poland in order to seize land, not in order to hunt for Jews.
When schools were bombed in world war 2, children were scared. Many were upset their schools were destroyed because they held an attachment to their schools.
