Sickness is usually caused by viruses, bacteria and other micro-organisms or parasites. If we accept that man evolved over the last seven million years, we can say that these organisms evolved alongside humans. If we believe that God created man and all living creatures in an act of special creation, perhaps a few thousand years ago, then we would have to believe that God created these organisms as part of that act of special creation.
Other causes of sickness include cancers and bodily degeneration, which are equally found in other animals. These are just part of being alive and of being exposed to things like sunlight, smoke and so on.
Death is as inevitable as life, for humans and all other creatures. It results from chronic or acute sickness, or just from old age. Especially in primitive societies, it also results from accidents and warfare.
