Song has long been a way for people that are in dire situations to make themselves feel better. Life goes on and by singing a song you like your mind wonders away from the misery you may eel as a result of the situation you are in. The same thing applies to hard times everywhere.
Blues was frome african slaves singing.
home
Yes, African people are still slaves, there are people that control people that are not that powerful, because they think that just because they have more power then the other people, they think that they can control them, so you always have to remember that African people are not then only people that are slaves, in other countrys there are slaves too. Alway REMEMBER, that there are MANY slaves around the WORLD. :) Thxx :)
Liberia I think it is
I don't think they "desired" African slaves. At first many explorers brought back people from places they had visited on their voyages, but most of them died before the explorers could get the new slaves back to europe. So i don't think the African slaves were really targeted, it was just from where the explorers sailed to.
to replace Indian slaves with African slaves
i think it is money and food
well first its because they were slaves...and second of all they were in pain so there only hope to get of the pain and don't think of the suffering is singing songs .
Typically slaves were prisoners of war that were captured in an attempt for a tribe to gain more territory. African rulers then sold these slaves to Europeans and others.
I think it was African Slaves and Indentured Servents...... but i'm not sure.
Liberia, i think!
Spiritual singing provided slaves with a means of expressing their faith, hope, and resistance to oppression. It also served as a form of communication, allowing them to convey messages and codes to coordinate escapes and uprisings. Additionally, spirituals helped preserve African cultural traditions and identity in the face of enslavement.
