One thing I never knew was Blackfoot Indians were the only Indians to use sled dogs as a form of transportation. Also they are the creaters of the popular pemmican snack! One thing that i never Knew was That the Blackfoot Used Everything on The buffalo.
they used about 42 buffalo hide and 3 or 4 primary poles and about 20 diffrent poles
I can find no reference that the Blackfoot tribe used any part of the buffalo for dye or paint. There is one lichen (moss) that they used for yellow paint / dye: Letharia vulpina
Recycling is benefiting our environment in many ways.

Historically tribes did not have symbols - they did not need them and could tell the difference between their own people and other tribes by language, hair styles, dress and details of costume decoration.Today many tribes have developed symbols for use on the Internet and tribal flags - such symbols have very little history and are often identical to symbols used by other tribes, so in that sense they are not unique to any particular tribe. The Blackfoot are a group of three related tribes: Blood, Piegan and Blackfoot. The Piegan or Pikuni tribe today uses the symbol of a war shield painted with a buffalo and hung with feathers; the Siksika or Blackfoot use a war shield painted with a buffalo over a pipe and tomahawk; the Blood or Kainai tribe uses a sun symbol over a camp of tipis with crossed pipes below. These are all very modern symbols and would mean nothing to a Blackfoot warrior of, say, 1860.
The Development Viewpoint towards the environment is the belief that humans should be able to freely use and benefit from all of earth's resources. It considers the environment in terms of economics. -Desdemondia
The people of the plains did use canoes. But when the white man came and gave them horses, the plains people abandoned the canoe. I don't advise looking on google for the answer because i tried, and i swear, there was not a single article with the answer. Use books if this isn't good enough.
