The German occupation of Holland forced Anne Frank and her family into hiding to escape persecution as Jews. They lived in confinement for over two years in the Secret Annex before being discovered and arrested by the Nazis. Anne tragically died in a concentration camp, while her father Otto was the sole Survivor from their family.
