In Ghettos, Jews would be giving food by the Nazis who came everyday (ussaly the Gestapo or the ss). But the food they were given was very small rations. On average a Jewish person was feed 300 calories, compared to the 2500 calories an adult needs today.

im jew so i know from my grandpa: they gave them only a little piece of bread in a day and sometimes they didnt give food at all and they shaved their hair and used with for the "SS" ' coats or pillows . they took children from their parents and their family. Part of them they sent to extermination camp (like Auschwitz) .

They had to mend their clothes rather than but new ones, they had to get used to bathing/washing less often and eating less often.

They had to use the available resources to cope with the problems that they had.

They lived in the Ghettos by trying to survive because, it was crampt in their. Also, Jews tried to hide in them to prevent of being deported to an Nazi Camp or killed.
