The Ku Klux Klan from its inception has operated under the premise that non-caucasians are sub-races, of lesser stock. As such, their treatment of other races was based on a sense of superiority that was anywhere fromj galling to lethal for the recipients. I would assume this misconception has lead to their reduction in more recent times.
