No. The Royal Air Force or RAF as some know it was outnumbered on a large scale. if the RAF did not accept the RCAF's (ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE) help then they would of been beaten. even with being outnumbered 3 to 1 they helped change the tide in the war. if the US did not join with their forward air bases their somewhat "small" air force would have been destroyed and the Nazis would have successfully invaded Britain or made it surrender.
