What is the impact of versailies treaty on European politics in 1919-1939?

The Versailles treaty had a major impact on politics in Germany, as Hitler played on it to gain popularity amongst the German people. Thus, it helped to end the Weimar Republic government and brought the Nazis to power. Without it, Hitler would not have been able to play on how 'harsh' Germany was treated after the first world war. By ignoring the treaty, Hitlers actions eventually helped lead to the second world war.

Why did people vote for the Nazis?

The main reason is that the treaty of Versailles had made such an impact on Germany, without it, Hitler could have taken alot longer to take over and may of been too old to rule by then. Using this treaty of Versailles, he put it into propoganda, and by the 1930s, they were hit by Hyper-Inflation, all because of the treaty of Versailles, all because of WWI the treaty was formed, all because of the "evil" leaders of the Allies as it says in one of his posters, of course, with his speeches being really convincing, Jews hid, gays ran and Germans voted.

What was the main opposition to the Treaty of Versailles?

That Germany was being Punished for something it was not responsible for. The Treaty of Versailles blamed Germany, and Germany alone for the outbreak of WWI, when this was not the case. Yes Germany wanted war, but it began with an assassination in Austri and, many different nations joined the war for different reasons. Therefore the war guilt clause of the treaty, was arguably the most difficult for the German people to swallow. The War guilt clause hand in hand with huge reparations, consequently had an immense impact on the coming years. It is believed to be one of the direct causes for the Kapp Putch therefore the rise of nationalism and ultimately the coming of Adolf hitler to power in 1933.
