they didnt, they hated seasons lol
Ancient Rome had many different changing problems over the 1,200 years of her history.
The Romans believed that the changing seasons were influenced by the goddess Ceres, who controlled the growth of crops. They also believed in the mythology of Persephone, who was abducted by Hades and forced to spend part of the year in the underworld, which explained the winter season.

Yes, they did. In the begining of the custom, only the emperor's birthday was celebrated with the emperor giving public banquests and sometimes games in the theater or arena. The custom soon trickled down to the wealthy, who would celebrate with lavish banquets. There is a letter found in Vindolanda, from a lady named Laudia Severa inviting her friend Sulpicia Lepidina to her birthday party.

If you are talking about Ancient Romans, obviously they didn't celebrate Thanksgiving, because it wasn't invented until about 1200 years after the Roman period. In modern Rome very few people, if any, would celebrate Thanksgiving, because Thanksgiving is a purely USA celebration which Europeans don't think about. I was born in the UK, I had not heard of Thanksgiving until I was 12 years old.
