Three Days Grace's members Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson and Brad Walst met in ninth grade and began playing in each others basement. After practicing for a few years they began playing at weddings, bars, coffee shops and local gigs.
They were soon recognized by the American label Jive, which helped them record their debut album, Three Days Grace. Barry Stock joined after I Hate Everything About You was released.
