Perhaps the question should be "How did the Nazis in Europe from 1933 to 1945 find Hebrew people so they could send them to concretion camps." Within Germany it was done using census material regarding those who indicated "Hebrew" as their religion. This information was then used by the Nazi party functionaries, such as the SA (Brown Shirts/Storm Troopers) and SS (including the Gestapo) to roundup Hebrews suburb by suburb or town by town according to population distribution. The Hebrews were forcibly evicted and taken by truck or rail to work camps or extermination camps depending on their health status, work skill and relative age. Those designated "useless eaters" were gassed immediately upon arrive but those deemed useful were put to work as slaves. People of Jewish descent, but were not religious Hebrews, were also targeted using genealogical records and informants. Similar tactics were used throughout Nazi occupied Europe by both the Nazis and their sympathizers.
