Many statues of Ares show him to be clean shaven. toned body. (don’t believe that 300 stuff) and was considered the most handsome of all the Greek gods (Not the goddesses, forgive me Aphrodite.) But because he is the God of War, or at least the negative side of Warfare, I’d say his eyes need to have a hint of craze or insanity. He also has a massive ego, and a superiority complex. Despite losing to many of the other gods and goddesses, he still acts like he’s better than they all are. He is also symbolized by Dogs and wields a spear. Unlike Athena, who remains in the shadows, Ares embraces direct combat….so if he was a gamer, he’s the one rushing The other team. Most Likely dying first..
however despite his negativity, he is also a firm protector of the Amazons, A dutiful Father. (better than most today) and he does have a caring side as shown when he is around Aphrodite. He also has never forced himself on a women unlike his others.
so in conclusion if you wanted to compare the God of War to other depictions. Wrath of the Titans does a good depiction of him. Throw a little Hector from the movie Troy in the bowl and ta da…..There you go.
