It caused lots of problems. For one thing, lots of priests were dying, so there became an urgency to ordain more priests, and many of these new priests were not well formed in the faith and did not turn out to be good priests.
This is the essential point: the Catholic religion of the masses was destroyed against their wishes. The Protestant Reformation was a revolution, and as another historian has remarked of revolutions, they are never really made by "the people". Certainly in England the changes brought by the religious revolution, far from being desired by the English people, were bitterly resented.

what made it fall was the fact diseases (bubonic plague) spread and when the bubonic plague spread the church believe animals(cat and dogs) made the disease so the church killed almost 10,000 dogs (or more) and everyone just lost faith. -sd
They blamed the jews for the plague. Jews were usually one of the first targets for they were thought as unholy for not believing in Jesus.
During the plague most people in Europe were under the control of the Roman Catholic church and after witnessing the way the Church didn't try and help with all the death, there began a period of religious reformation with people like Martin Luther, and John Calvin.
The church thought that it was the Jews fault that the plague happend. But really it was infuenza carried by rats and flees.
