Fighting to protect the empire from various attacks finally took its toll with even Rome itself facing an invasion. Economic difficulties were growing throughout the empire as issues such as high prices and lack of products became serious concerns.
Rome was divided into Western and Eastern Roman Empire in 1054 BC. It was divided to have more cotrol over the country. Later, Constantine moves the capital of Rome to Eastern Rome. The new capital's location was perfect for defence and commerce. Later, Western Empire fell down because of numbers of attacks. The Eastern Empire shrank, but still survived.
