The reason the mammoth went extinct is cause when the ice age melted the climate began to heat up and it got really hot and the started to die when it got to hot it caused it to have a heat stroke

∙ 12y agoBecause when the world warmed up, the pine forests where they lived receded and because they couldn't adapt quick enough and eventually died out. Another theory is that early Hominids hunted them extinct, but I personally think this is not true; but people today have hunted many animals to extinction, so I think it is a valid answer
