It fist started with Rosa Parks, she was part of NAACP (the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). Which sparked the northern African American people to boycott the bus, the walked every where they went, rode bikes, and maybe get a cab i possible. Because of the boycott business ir busses were going low, so the goverment agrred no more bus segregation in the north. But in the south it was different. There was a group of white and black peoples called the freedom riders, an they would sit on a bus and travel all of America (mostly to the south) to protest against bus segregation. But many of the southern people didn't like it and forced many of the buses to stop and brutalised the freedom riders regardless of race. This sent a huge message and the government put a stop to it by demolishing bus segregation.
