nurses helped many of the wounded on the bombing of pearl harbor. women also started to become military pilots, cooks and even doing men jobs many women started working in factories making weapons for the soldiers. they had to do this because there was hardly any men left to do these jobs they were nurses;many of them helped in the bombing of pearl harbor and even became pilots.there was even a real Baseball team of just girls do to that there weren;t hardly ane men left to even play baseball.talk about being strong!!!
Assuming you are talking of world war 1. Yes women did contribute , since they took over all the manufacturing and work back at home while the men fought, thus they contributed to the war effort. There were also female spies, etc. who helped directly in the war.
