Women contributed much to the war effort. While men were at the war front, women had to take the jobs usually reserved for men. Women began working the factories and creating the guns, bullets, aircraft, you name it! Some women even dressed up as men to try to fight for their country. Both women and men contributed much to the Allied victory.
During World War 2 the women's clubs in the US served to raise War Bond sales, devoted efforts that contributed to the war and provided a way for women to bond with one another when their loved ones were away at war. They also provided a support system for the war widows and young women with young children.

Assuming you are talking of world war 1. Yes women did contribute , since they took over all the manufacturing and work back at home while the men fought, thus they contributed to the war effort. There were also female spies, etc. who helped directly in the war.

Women contributed to World War II in various ways, such as working in factories to produce weapons and supplies, serving as nurses and support staff in the military, and taking on roles as spies and resistance fighters. Their efforts helped to support the war effort and played a crucial role in the eventual Allied victory.
Women that were in World War 2 did not fight in the war. The women did many of the other types of jobs such as being nurses and driving vehicles.
During World War I, women in Canada significantly contributed to the war effort by working in munitions factories, serving as nurses on the front lines, and taking on roles traditionally held by men, such as in agriculture and transportation. Their participation demonstrated their capabilities and resilience, leading to a shift in societal perceptions regarding women’s roles. As a result, women gained greater recognition and were eventually granted the right to vote in federal elections in 1917, marking a significant step towards gender equality in Canadian society. This period laid the groundwork for future advancements in women's rights.
