all there is to replacing the alternator is 1. loosin the belt 2. unscrew bottom screw on the alternator (cant miss it) 3. unscrew the top screw 4. remove the alternator from its place 5. remove the 2 power cords attached to the battery and whatnot.

Not that difficult - everything is on the top of the engine. Take the serpentine belt off first, disconnect the wires and attach them to the new alternator in order. Then take the bolts out (they are obvious) and change the alternator - put the belt back on - that's usually the hardest part and your done.
the alternator is about $80-95. i had to replace mine like 3 times. Its not difficult but very time consuming and cramped space.
