They use their claws fur teeth and and limbs to catch their prey

They use cover to slowly stalk close enough for a quick rush to the prey, then leap onto the animal, and use their powerful jaws for a throat bite in most cases. Their long killing canines can be three inches long, and their claws, used to grip the prey, may be three inches long as well. Some large prey, such as the gaur, are attacked by hamstringing first, because of their power and size. This practice disables the large bison, making it easier to kill.
The Bengal tiger hunts on their own. They look for prey from the cover of bushes, trees, and long grass. When they spot prey, they carefully stalk it. When stalking, a tiger keeps its head steady, its eyes focused on its prey, and its body low. It stays down ( positioned so that the wind blows from the prey toward the tiger). A whiff of tiger scent would alert the prey to its presence. When the tiger is close enough to its prey it suddenly rushes at the animal. It uses its long, heavy tail to keep its balance as the prey changes direction. If the tiger attacks from too far away, the prey will probably escape. Tigers can run fast only over short distances of up to about 82 feet ( 25 meters). When the rush is timed right, the tiger uses its strong front legs and sharp claws to grab the back of the neck, shoulders, chest of its prey. If the prey is big, the tiger may grab its ankles to trip it. Once the prey has been brought down, the tiger bites the throat, which suffocates the prey. Tigers can be injured by bites, kicks, and scratches as they do this.

Bengal tigers are large predatory cats, meaning that the food they eat must be of sufficient biomass to power this large animal. Because their prey is so big, most tigers expend a lot of energy stalking, chasing, and bringing down their prey to ensure a capture. In the actual killing of prey, Bengal tigers will usually leap from the grass they were hiding in, latch onto a prey animal with their retractable claws, pull the prey animal the the ground, and use its extremely powerful jaws to quickly crush the animal's windpipe. After that, the tiger will tear pieces of flesh off the animal using its teeth, steadying it with its paws.

West Bengal tigers are an endangered species, and live only in parks and sanctuaries; so it gets fresh meat etc from the zoo keepers.

what ever is in their territory whether it is some type of hoof stock (ungulates) like water buffalo or wild boars or in some cases humans. there have been many attacks on villagers in certain areas where the tigers own natural food source has dwindled because man has over hunted the same food the tigers eat, so tigers are taking to eating the new food source that is man .

Tigers are pure carnivores. They prefer hunting large ungulates such as chital, sambar, gaur, and to a small extent also barasingha, water buffalo, nilgai, serow and takin. Among the medium-sized prey species they frequently kill wild boar, and occasionally hog deer, muntjac and Gray langur. Small prey species such as porcupines, hares and peafowl are also hunted and form a very small part in their diet. Sometimes, they also prey on domestic livestock too that wander off into the jungles

They stay hidden and move near the unsuspecting prey. Once they are near enough, they pounce and take the prey down. They go for the throat and strangulate their prey.

When it catches small prey, it will bite it on the back of the neck. If it is a large prey, they will bite it on the windpipe causing death by asphyxiation.
