∙ 11y agoThere are no Masses on Good Friday, ever. There is a Good Friday Liturgy at which there is Holy Communion given from the reserved Hosts from Holy Thursday. There is also veneration of the Cross, and intercessions offered for the entire world. Many parishes also conduct the Way of the Cross at some time on Friday, but this is not an official part of the Church's liturgy.

∙ 13y agodepends on the church. the only thing The Bible says is Jesus told us to remember Him and his death, burial, and resurrection and to break bread and drink wine to remember (doesn't mean alcoholic wine either). on good friday, my church does just this by having a cracker and a cup of juice and celebrating the events that occurred after the last supper.

∙ 12y agoGood Friday is the most solemn day on the Liturgical Calendar and is NOT celebrated. It is observed by Catholics by attending Good Friday services in their Church and by fasting and abstaining.
Catholics are asked to pray and reflect on Christ's death and fast (One full meal and two smaller ones, which together do not equal a full meal). Also, Catholics should not eat meat on Good Friday.
