In Japan as we all know there are 3 writing systems.Kanji is one of the most typical one of the other three.It takes years of practise for japanese students to get acquainted with it.But it is not merely learning the pictorial characters but a true art in japan known as Calligraphy in which one makes characters beautifully following all stroke orders.Japanese students also takes years to get through kanji and read things in hiragana as backup(known as furigana)...

The Japanese government has introduced a list of 2000 kanjis which are used mostly in Japan but not to forget there are other more kanjis...
