The dieties are placed in the sanctum sanctorum inside the temple complex. They are dressed in colourful clothes and decorated with ornaments & flowers. There are oil lamps that are kept lit during the prayer sessions. The door of the sanctum maybe closed at certain times of the day. Sometimes the idols are displayed during processions by placing it in a chariot or on elephants.
