you have to take the horn cover off, unscrew the nut, and either use a steering wheel puller or your hands. You can place both your hands on the underside on both sides and hit upwards.
in the steering colume you must pull stering wheel to get to it
pull the center pad off the wheel and then take the nut off that holds the wheel on and then get a steering wheel puller and hook it up and pull the wheel off the splines.
Most of the time it is the bushing in the top of the column. .Pull the steering wheel off, pull the locking plate for the steering wheel, pull the blinker assembly, then you will come to a stiff spring that preloads the bushing under it.....That bushing, and spring need to be replaced, and you have cured your problem. . . . .
yes
There are 3 bolts under the steering wheel that sometimes work loose, usually because of people grabbing steering wheel to pull themselves into truck. You will have to rent or buy a steering wheel puller & re-tighten the bolts that are under it.I would reccommend cleaning them & using locktight brand thread lock.
yes you have to pull the steering wheel off, and becareful you don;t loose the spring.
pull the steering wheel
remove ceter cap on steering wheel to gain access to large nut romve nut then use a steering wheel puller assembly pull steerinr wheel off the shaft
u need a steering wheel puller and pull steering wheel and all turnsignal parts. one screw holds it in
The knob you pull is right under the steering wheel on the dash!
I cant remember the exact steps, but I dit it once, you pull the steering wheel off, then pull off all the plastic covers around it, and pull a little pin out of the ignition key cylinder, then it drops out, and you can install a new one (or use pliers like i did)
U have to pull the steering wheel and the turn signal mechanism behind it. Once that's outa the way you will find one screw that most be removed then the ignition will slide right out.
