Reset what?

If you reset it (refer to owners manual) each time you change you oil, then supposedly based on how you drive it the car will tell you to when to change the oil. just a service indicator - probably an oil change reminder. on my 92 accord there was a little reset button near it (small and needing a pen or something to push it) to make it go away.
