You should check with the finance company. Some finance companies will not knowingly allow a "straw purchase" which is where you finance something your name when the item is intended for another person. I'm not sure about this part: but it may be illegal in some states. You may want to check the law also.
yes
The person/company that sold the car wants their money. They don't care who pays it, as long as it gets paid. Condolences for the loss of your husband, but you get to keep the car as long as you keep making payments.
Yes. This happens all the time. If you have a car you're still making payments on (and which will therefore have a lien on it), and you want to buy a new car, as long as your credit is good and you can afford the new payments as well you shouldn't have a problem.
If you cosign the paperwork will come in your name and if they dont pay it comes back on you.
keep up your payments
If you do not want your car repossessed, then you need to keep up with the payments on your car. If you are behind on payments, then your car could be taken away from you legally.
Keep sending payments and the creditor should be happy.
Depends on what you mean by
Dang right. They will love you. Get the payments up to date and sell your car. Then buy you something cheaper.
Sell it? Keep it? It's in your name. Do whatever you want with it. If there's a loan on it, and the car's worth less than the loan, you'll have to eat the difference if you sell it. If the loan is in your name you have to make the payments. You could let it be reposessed, but the loan company will sell it and come after you for the difference in what they get and what you owe. Never buy a car for a friend.
Yes, you would be able to do this as long as you contated the people and explained the circumstances.
If you have a driver's license you can own a car. But you can't go into a car lot and buy it unless you have cash. Otherwise, you need an adult to sign papers and make the car be in their name, to make sure the car payments are made. You could buy a car from a private individual without problems.
