How do you bypass antitheft system on 98 ford mustang
The flashing check engine light means there is one or more cylinder misfires occuring.Have the codes pulled from the computer to determine which cylinder(s) are misfiring.
Easiest way is to disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple minutes then reconnect. This will clear the error codes from the computer. If everything is okay, the CHECK ENGINE light will stay off.
You use an OBD scan tool.
You need an OBD2 code reader to check the codes. Just plug it in under the hood and read the codes. Use the manual to determine the codes.

It sounds like the computer. Check with your local Auto Zone store. They may offer free a diagnostic. The Auto Zone here will run a free computer diagnostic. It lets us know what codes the computer is throwing. When you find that out, you can then consult the repair manual for those particular codes. Good luck. Emerald
