Not sure if you still have this problem. I have had it for weeks now and its got to the point where I wanted to kill the phone! I decided, after failing to here from Samsung, to fiddle about with it and hey ho, I found out how to fix it! You have to retrain the phone to put the word you want to appear first, instead of the one it automatically brings up. For example, I got the number 843 all of a sudden when I was trying to type 'the', so if you change it using the 0 key so it says the, then repeat that over and over, eventually it will sort itself out, it takes about 8 turns of you typing and changing before it does it, but in the end it did it. I also had 76 come up when typing 'so' and 86 when typing 'to', both of those have been resolved too now. Hope it works for you mate.

As far as I can see - the only 'predictive' text formatting is in relation to URL's. If you're meaning the autocorrect function... you can turn the feature on or off through the Tools menu. Click on Tools - then Autocorrect options - and untick the 'Enable word completion' option. Don't forget to click 'OK' before you close the box.
Predictive maintenance software can be used by purchasing a program through a company such as emaint. I would suggest trying a free trial to see if it is something that you are interested in.
