disconect both battery cables for about 30 minutes to reset
The ABS wires may be unplugged from your rear brakes. On my 94, they plug in behind the rear wheels.
first see if its low on fluid if not there's a fault in the switch ----In my 94 the Abs Inop Light was on. This Caused my cruise control to stop working. My third brake light was out on my spoiler and simply replacing it caused the light to go off and cruise to start working
Your problem is not the warning light. The light is on because there is a problem with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). Have it repaired and they will reset the light.
In 94 you had the LT1 350 V8.
yes it does have abs brakes
Check at the wheels to make sure that the abs sensors have not become disconnected. The wiring or the sensors are the most likely causes.
It may. I have a '94 prizm and it does have ABS. However, this was an option and may not have been in your car. If your dash has lights that say "ABS" and "ABS active," so that's an easy way to find out
check your abs plugs on the top of you master brake cylinder...i had the same problem on my 94 grand am and it turned out to be just a loose plug. check your abs plugs on the top of you master brake cylinder...i had the same problem on my 94 grand am and it turned out to be just a loose plug.
What you are hearing is the ABS pump running, which is an electric pump. It should only run when the ABS is engaged, not every time you stop normally. There is a problem with the ABS. Stop driving this car and have the ABS looked at by a professional.
To reset the ABS light on a 1994 Acura Legend Coupe you will first need to find the fuse or relay box under the vehicle's hood. Remove the 3 15 amp fuses located in this box. Replace the fuses after approximately 30 to 60 seconds. This will reset the ABS light.
Why would you want to disable the ABS?
Each of the front axels have a speed sensor. If one of the speed sensors was damaged durning the front brake pad replacement this will make the ABS light come on. Hope this helps WadeKG
