In a nut shell, Metabolism is how much energy, or calories, your body burns in order to keep your body going. You can keep up with a good metabolism by practicing healthy eating and exercising habits. Muscle uses more calories to sustain them, so it's good to get toned up if you want to keep your metabolism high. Also, I found that foods with higher water concentration are better to eat because it allows you to eat more without taking in the extra calories!
