The next time you have the vehicle serviced ask to have the exhaust system inspected. Most service stations will give the vehicle a safety inspection (during an oil change) which would include the exhaust system at no extra charge. If you suspect there is a problem with the exhaust now, don't wait. Carbon monoxide fumes could be getting into the cabin area which can be deadly.
You can usually tell by the change in the engine noise, which will probably noticeably increase. You may also smell exhaust fumes entering the inside of the vehicle.
that could be your exhaust is broken from where it starts or you bought a sports car that could be your exhaust is broken from where it starts or you bought a sports car that could be your exhaust is broken from where it starts or you bought a sports car that could be your exhaust is broken from where it starts or you bought a sports car
A broken exhaust pipe shouldn't trigger the check engine light. The only way to reset it is to have someone clear it with the scanner. EDIT: This guy is not true. Gross leak codes will be thrown for a broken exhaust. To clear the check engine you can disconnect the battery for a minute or two and reconnect it. Why answer if you dont know???
Maybe the exhaust is broken.
A broken piston ring will allow fuel to enter the exhaust system. The fuel will drain out of the exhaust.
Could be a broken motor mount Check exhaust system for broken hanger
A broken what?
It depends on the damage but most likley not
Yes - you can blow the engine
To much back pressure is often caused by a blockage in the exhaust system, such as a clogged or broken catalytic converter. This can be remedied by clearing the blockage or replacement of the cat. A lack of back pressure is usually caused by an aftermarket exhaust that is to big being installed on a vehicle or a broken exhaust pipe.
If the car is filling with exhaust fumes, that is a health hazard, and is almost certainly caused by a broken or leaky exhaust pipe.

I assume that is is broken, I would take it to the mechanics instead of going on the internet!
