How do I know which schools are good for fashion design?

I want to go into fashion design, does anyone know of any schools that offer that as a major?

I've been looking into Fashion Design too and I found this directory that lists all the fashion schools in the US. I'm looking to move away from LA but there are plenty of schools in CA too if you are looking to stay close to home. I found my art school through Art Institutes. They have a good directory of a wide variety of schools, I am sure you'd find a lot of useful information there.

Are FIDM and ITT Tech one of the top fashion schools in the US?

Well I do know that FIDM is a great fashion college but ITT Tech doesn't have a fashion degree program. I have friends who graduated from FIDM and they rave about the school and their programs, but their fashion design program is one of the most popular and is known worldwide. A lot of famous fashion designers including Monique Lhuillier and one of the founders of Juicy Couture graduated from FIDM which says a lot about the school's fashion design program! I don't know of ten but I know the number one college for fashion in America is The New York Fashion Institute Of Technology (FIT) and Parsons The New School For Design. Otis College, The School Of The Art Insitute Of Chicago, Pratt and RISD are also good as well.
