pull the dash
The Trunk release button is on the left side, below the steering wheel. Sits right beside the Mirror adjust button and the dash light dimmer switch. It doesnt really look like a switch, but that's it, just stick ur finger in and push down a bit.
other than you doing that your self from the dash, its probably your door switch that has gone bad, or the trunk
The trunk switch on the dash should still operate unless the trunk release switch inside the glove box has been turned off.
The rear "trunk" (decklid) release mechanism is an option, if equipped, and is located on the right side of the dash protrusion on the dash. It will be a switch that shows an opening "trunk". If this switch is not there, then the car was not equipped with rear trunk release. If you are trying to get into a Fiero trunk that does not have a decklid release mechanism or a broken one, and you have lost the keys, then you will have to actually break into the car to open the trunk. Typically, if the outer key switch is remove, you can insert a long screwdriver into the hole and pop the trunk lock.
on da dash bord
I had a problem with mine and after checking all the fuses I found it to be in the dimmer switch ( on left side of dash ). It's pretty common with the J30's. Sometime you can tap the switch with the palm of your hand and it will connect.
There is a Cherry submicroswitch attached the the trunk latch. This switch controls the light and the instrument indicator. It also activates the alarm.
Why not correct the problem that is causing it to tell you the trunk is open when it is not. There is a switch in the trunk that is out of adjustment. the switch is located in the latch mechanism itself located on the trunk lid once located there should be a plug in there unplug it youwill have no trunk light or dash indicator but this will solve your problem
I was looking at the 2004 Ford Freestar Owner Guide and it shows that the SINGLE switch for the power vent windows is located on the dash ( but not where on the dash , not much help ! ) The switch has " VENT " on it
First check all fuses and/or relays. Then it could be your switch for your lights on the column,it was for mine-corrosion.
The vehicle should come with a trunk release remote control, which you just press to open the trunk. It is located on the instrument panel on the right side of the steering wheel.
