Assuming the doors are unlocked and you can enter the vehicle, the best way (short of getting a locksmith) would be to go in from the back seat. Pull the small handle above the back seats to lower them. There may be a thin divider that can be opened to gain access to the trunk.

The hook button is the anti theft alarm system. The alarm is automatically armed within 15 seconds of the car being locked with the electronic key. The alarm will sound if the door is opened, the trunk is opened, the hood is opened or the vehicle is raised. Even using the key will activate the alarm. To cancel the alarm insert the electronic key in the ignition. Refer to the owners manual for proper use.
The horn button contacts on the steering wheel are dirty.
i can tell how other factory systems have alarms, if you use the key or button inside the door or key fob to lock the doors, once you try to open the door(s) once it is locked the the alarm is activated via key or fob (remote lock)or lock button on the door the alarm will go off if you just try to open the door is when it is locked the alarm will go off it may vary on Toyota systems. It works this way on my girlfriends 07 subaru impreza but on my 97 sable(witch does not have an alarm does not go off ). hope this helps!!
