The short answer is no. You cannot record video via iMovie without sound. But it is super easy to edit out the sound!
1. Open up the clip inspector by double clicking the clip you want to remove sound from.
2. Press "a" on your keyboard. This should bring you to your audio editing panel. From here you can adjust the volume with a lever! Hope this helps!
