open you hood to your car, and on your engine cover, you should have 4 rubber mounts holding it on. Pull the cover off, and on the back of the cover, there should 4 to 6 screws; remove them and your air filter should be right underthat lid.. hope that helps. if it doesnt call royal vw in birmingham, Alabama, that would be glad to help you.
