Straighten in a curved maneuver to hair (not away from head but toward head) Do this 2 or 3 times to get desired effect.
I straighten my hair everyday and i love it. personally, i think it looks better than any other kind of hair style. unless its long curls not very tight curls(: (loose curls and straightened are the best !)

i no it sounds silly but getting it slightly trimmed can make your hair grow faster as you are taking of the dead ends. As if you straighten it you are just pulling the dead ends of your hair of making it millimeters shorter every time you straighten but if you trim it the ends stay on.

Straighten it lightly to just smooth out the curls add some hairspray just enough to keep it together but not too much to make it feel hard.
Well, nothing really, ive been straightening my hair for about a year with no side effects. But if you do straighten your hair when it is completely dry then you can end up with dry, split ends.
Well, you see, if i had a toddler I most likely wouldn't straighten his/her hair. I mean if its only one time I guess so but I don't recommend it. You can accidentally burn the child or damage its natural curls. If you are going to straighten his/her hair then make sure that you use some sort of heat protector so that there wouldn't be any future damage to the child's hair.
