- I had to tell my best friend that our friendship was not working and it was not easy. It never is. You may beat around the bush and ultimately you have to tell it like it is. So tell it to the face and then stop the accusations. There is no point in loosing a human relationship along with a friendship. Give it space. If in 6 months you still don't miss the person, you never will. So that is the end of it.
