The daytime running light module is located under the driver's side left front fender on the bulkhead. I believe it goes to wiring loom 1247? Anyhow, when you locate the module you can remove it and the daytime running lights will not function any longer. However, if you wish to you can intercept the line that provides power to the module, you need to use a VOM or test light to find the hot wire, and interpose a wire that will run into the passenger compartment where a toggle switch can be installed. You will need to return the line to the other end of line where you made the cut. When you through the switch on, the drl will function, when you turn it off the functionality will cease.
You didn't mention a problem.

This can be due to a bad headlight switch. If it goes bad, most of the time you have no dash lights or headlights
It isn't designed to do that. Running E85 could damage the engine.
as long as you have an the sAME TRANSMISSIONS THEY WILL BE INTGERCHANGABLE.
