Trinitarians are people who believe in the doctrine of the Trinity - this includes most Christians including Catholics and the majority of Protestant faiths. Mormons do not adhere to the Trinity doctrine, instead believing that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three individual beings united in purpose. Many Mormons find the Trinity doctrine confusing and nonsensical. However, Mormons hold no hard feelings against Trinitarians themselves, and respect that others have different beliefs than they do.

Unitarians are members of the Unitarian churches, often the Unitarian Universalist denomination in the United States. Unitarians tend to be a liberal faith which believes that there is no one right path for everyone. They believe in God as one being, and encourage each other on their individual path to spiritual fulfillment. Mormons believe that there is only one right path - Jesus Christ, but appreciate Unitarians willingness to be inclusive, loving, and encouraging of all people in their path to God.

Mormons seek to find common ground with people of all faiths and belief systems. They believe that there is good and truth within all religions and that our similarities should be sought out and celebrated while being respectful of our differences.

What are the facts about the christian religion?

For the first three hundred years after Jesus, there was a constant argument between two different groups of Christians. The Trinitarian Christians - in Greece and Rome - fought hard against the Unitarian Christians - who were in Palestine (Israel, as it is called by many) and North Africa. The Unitarian Christians ( who are also called 'Judeo-Christians' ) believed that Jesus was the Messiah, but that he never claimed to be equal to God. They followed Jesus as a Prophet. They did not, however, worship him. They believed in the One and Only God - and they kept the Law of Moses, which Jesus himself also did. In the year 312, the emperor Constantine gathered a group of the most knowledgable, in the city of Nicene ( at the famous Nicinian Council ) in order to end the disagreement. Constantine was a Trinitarian. At that time there were over four hundred different Gospels written. Some Gospels were Trinitarian and many were Unitarian. They put all four hundred gospels in a locked room and went to pray for a miracle. The next day, sure enough, there was a "miracle". They opened the room and found only four gospels left - Matthiew, Mark, Luke and John ! Who had the key to the room? Immediately, Constantine began a bloody war against the Unitarian Christians, killing as many as he could. Interestingly enough, it was the Unitarian Christians who believed that there would come one more Prophet after Jesus. They waited, then, for Muhammad for three hundred years - until Constantine wiped them almost completely out. You can Google: "Muhammad in the Bible" www.freequran.org
