Answer 1
according to muslims they are saved by praying 5 times a day
Answer 2
There is a difference between the Islamic understanding of "being saved" and the Christian concept of "being saved".
In Christianity, salvation is about the purification of the heart/soul and atonement for sin. Christianity puts strong stock in this notion because, in Christianity, a person must be pure to go to the "good place", i.e. Heaven. Through belief in the Christ a person is guaranteed a place in Heaven.
In Islam, no person has such a guarantee. Salvation is achieved through works and proper behavior and proper worship. A key Hadith that addresses the issue is the following:
Sahih Bukhari 8:76:470:
Allah's Apostle [Mohammed (peace be upon him)] said, "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the fire [of hell])."
They [the Muslims] asked, "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah's Apostle?"
He [Mohammed] said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise).
Muslims gain salvation by full submission to Allah (god in English) as the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no companion and no associate. This salvation demonstrates itself in following prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and obeying Allah/God's commands as given in the Qur'an...
