If you look real close you can see 2 stalks and on the top is a eye. I think snails are so cute. If you look real close you can see 2 stalks and on the top is a eye. I think snails are so cute. If you look real close you can see 2 stalks and on the top is a eye. I think snails are so cute.

Garden snails have extremely bad eyesight, and are almost completely blind. They sense where there is land by poking at things with their two eyes that stick out. So when their eyes touch a book in front of it (its eye will go back into its head and then come out after when it touches something) they will recognize the book as land and will climb onto it. Apparently, snails have very good smelling skills, though I barely can see their nose. So on the internet, it says that if you put a piece of lettuce in front of it, it will smell the lettuce, and will crawl (or slither might be a better way to describe this) to the lettuce if its hungry. They can also feel, too. If you touch their body, then they will stick their head to the finger that pressed its body, thinking that it is land. They look kind of weird when they do that (in my opinion). So, I hope I have been some help! =)

Snails have very primitive eyes, and cannot see in color. They can only see whether it's light or dark, and where the light source is relative to them.
