I was "unfortunate enough" to learn this technique while working in a commercial with a beautiful starlet. The actors are placed at an angle that prevents the camera from actually "seeing" the actual kiss. The actors make the head movements of kissing, but the lips aren't actually touching. This is commonly referred to as a "Hollywood Kiss".

Not to say the above answer is wrong, for there are certainly times when this technique is utilized, but there are obviously plenty of times when the viewer/audience has full visibility of the kiss, and in those cases, it's as simple as professionalism. The actor/actress is professional and has to perform said act making it convincing, but... no tongue, unless the part calls for it.
you fake kiss by practically kissin a fake person that you really in the air to get the idea. Then if you want a fake french kiss then you just move you mouth in a orderly fashion like someone is putting there tongue in you mouth
Close your eyes and think of kissing someone you would really love to kiss! It's true, that's what many actors do. You might even like it! LOL
Kiss Me Kate.
I think its rather simple. they fell over and went very still. In Shakespeare's day the actors sometimes concealed a bladder filled with animal blood under their clothes so they could appear to bleed when they were stabbed.

Tommy Thayer
No, it was a fake kiss.
The actors Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey did indeed share a real kiss in the 1968 movie adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. Director Franco Zeffirelli wanted to capture the authenticity and passion of young love on screen, so the kiss was not staged or fake.
Grab their faces and put your thumbs on their mouth then kiss your thumbs! No tongue though.
