some sea animals close to shore can be washed up on shore and killed. land animals can be drowned, crushed, or sucked into the ocean. Animals far out enough are usually not affected in the least

As far as i know tsunami takes whatever it sees in its path and grabs it with it.

All objects experiencing a wave will describe a circle. To most sea animals this is no big deal. It is only on the shore that a tsunami is a significant event.
